Teacher gift idea

My son's 2nd grade teacher is leaving the end of next week. She is having back surgery so her last day is next Friday. THe class moms are throwing a party for her and the kids. I chipped in $5 for a card and gift, but always like to do something on the side as well.
I usually do a Nordstrom's GC as a gift or Macy's.
Should I still do that or get something that can help more since she's going to be out of commission for a while. She did say she may try and come back the end of the school year if possible. I guess depends on recovery.
Thoughts of gifts?
For my 4th grader I'll probably do Nordstrom GC's. Who doesn't like shopping? LOL

I hate shopping!!!

For the teacher having surgery I would probably do Amazon. This way if she needs anything she can just have it delivered.

I agree about hating shopping too- but I would welcome a Nordstrom gift card because I shop online and they have an great free returns policy so no worries about having to send anything back- it's free.

Thanks! Getting her an Amazon GC this way she can order anything online. Especially since she's having back surgery and out of commission for a while.
