Re: Teachers & other early risers

My trainer told me it could take up to a month to get your body back to the early morning schedule! I hate it!!

So far, it hasn't been too bad. I get up at 5 and leave at 5:45. It's much harder in the winter when I get to school and it's still dark.

Ditto. I have a fear of oversleeping and am up from about 4:45 every five minutes or so until about 5:30.

Re: Teachers & other early risers

I wake up at about 6:15 and leave at 7:15.

Once I get into a routine I'm going to be waking up at 5:15 twice a week to go to the gym.

ETA: I'm pretty much used to it... I was up by 7 most days this summer... So it hasn't been a huge adjustment.

It never gets easy for me. I swear I've been teaching for years and always think it'll get easier. It is a struggle for me every morning. My first thought is usually I can't wait to get home and take a nap!

Re: Teachers & other early risers

I am definately not used to it yet!

I wake up at 5:10 (that is the current perfect time to get everything done) and am out the door by 6:15.

Hopefully once the beginning of the school year is over I can start waking at 5:30 and being out by 6:30.

Up by 5am
Out at 6 am
At work by 6:45 am

I've learned to not sleep in hours later during vacations and weekends. It's just easier on the body.

It also helps that DH and I go to bed early. He can't make it passed 9pm at nightChat Icon Chat Icon I swear he has the sleeping patterns of a toddlerChat Icon

Re: Teachers & other early risers

I was up early most of the summer and loved it, yet now that I HAVE to get up early I dread that darn alarm. It is so psychological!! Today was my official first day back and it wasn't too bad, but it will all catch up and tomorrow will be horrible. I have a headache so i just popped some tylenol PM to guarantee myself a good nights sleep!!Chat Icon

eta- I got up at 6:30 today, out by 7:45 and was late to my first kid thanks to traffic..soooo tomorrows wake-up will be 6:15, out the door by 7:15 to be in Queens by 9....I hate traffic!!Chat Icon

Yea, my problem is I'll lie down on the couch but I can never actually fall asleep. I do love a nap though if I can fall asleep.
