How were they? I saw a couple for the spring semester and I'm considering them. I've only heard of CITE by word of mouth.

Re: Teachers - anyone take any of the C.I.T.E courses?

I am actually taking them right now. I am on the second of the common courses; my last class is this Sunday. I am enjoying them so far;albeit a little stressed out with my final paper due this weekend. I did not know this program even existed until a friend mentioned it to me. I think it is great for those that:
1. Do not favor weeknight classes.
2. Favor an accelerated class. It takes only 5 weeks to get 3 credits.

I am only speaking on behalf of the common courses since I have not matriculated but a friend of mine says the second half of the program is similar to the first.

Where are you thinking of taking classes?

DH has taken five of them. I think they are pretty good, they are definitely less intense than regular college classes.

I am taking them right now. I am in the second half and I will be finished with my Masters on March 19th! I only started 1 year ago, so all said and done it will take me 1 year and 3 months to get a dual Masters. The courses are not intense and every 5 weeks you earn 3 credits, you can also take classes during February break and the summer that are 5 consecutive days. So, you can really finish your first half (5 courses) in one summer, and still have a week or 2 off. I strongly recommend CITE if you do not want to go to school during the week, and you want a degree fast, and you want to get a Masters for a very reasonable price! Any other questions feel free to FM me.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but thats not fair. Especially because NYSUT is expenisve. On top of the course fees, you have to buy books too. My books for one of my classes was $100!!!
