Teachers - Master's question
Are there any online MA programs? I know I would have to do my student teaching in person...
thanks

Re: Teachers - Master's question
I know there are some programs out there that offer it.... but If you are already a teacher and looking to get your masters you would probably have to see if your district would except the credits. I know a woman that teaches in my district was going for her masters through an online program and the superintendent didn't want to axcept the credits for a pay increase.

Re: Teachers - Master's question
I'm not a teacher yet..I have my BS in business. I want to go back for teaching but right now I can't take the time to go at night..so I wanted to see if I could do it online. My mom mentioned Walden University to me..anyone hear about it?

Re: Teachers - Master's question
you need to make sure that any program you enter is accredited by New York State - otherwise it won't count towards getting you certified.
go to nysed.gov and double-check that your degree is accredited. I know, for example, that NYS does NOT accept the Masters degree from the University of Phoenix.
hope that helps!!
