I have the luxury of being able to go because I share a room with 2 other teachers and 2 aides.
If you have a neighbor that could keep an eye for you Or someone on hall duty . . . .

I just ask my neighbor to keep an eye on my class, or pull a para from another class for a minute.

I either wait til my free period or lunch or if I really have to go, I will ask a friend/neighbor to watch the class

ask a neighboring teacher to keep an eye out. This was a necessity when I was pregnant.

Honestly, I used to hold it in.
This year, I'm pregnant, and usually someone's willing to come and stay with the class. I have a phone in my room to call the office, or I send a kid. Though I still end up holding it in because it's not always easy to find someone.

I have trained my body to go during my prep, then hold it until lunch, the right after dismissal. If it is really an emergency,I ask an assistant from another class.

ugh.. this is why so many teachers get UTI and worse problems..
Im so bad that I hold it till I cant possibly wait anymore.. but Im always running around and never seem to have time

Yep. The stomach speciaist i see says that many of he patients are TEACHERS!!!

usually ill wait till my break but this year I have lunch at 12:40 and the kids come in at 9:15. I sometimes dont have a prep until the afternoon so that is over 3 hours straight in the classroom!! and i drink coffee and water!!!!
If I need to go I ask the other 3rd grade teacher across the hall or if she is busy I flag another teacher down..
they say teachers get a lot of UTI's because of this......
