Re: teachers-field trips?
In the past our first graders have gone pumpkin picking, to see plays, garden city childrens museum, and on nature walks in a park. But now, everything has to be curriculum related so who knows where we will go this year!

Re: teachers-field trips?
Thanks! Yea, I'm also trying to do some curriculum related. We do usually go apple/pumpkin picking & to plays. We study mammals, all kinds of life cycles, birds (we hatch chicks) and wanted to incorporate some kind of field trips, thank you for the suggestions

Re: teachers-field trips?
Not sure where you teach, but the South Shore Nature Center in East Islip is a good place for science field trips. I think they charge $2 per student, and you choose the topic based on your curriculum.
