Teacher's Gift
What do you get for a female 4th grade teacher for the end of the year teacher's gift? How much do you spend?
Thanks

Re: Teacher's Gift
Doesn't the whole class take a collection for a gift? If not, what about a gift certificate? You can't go wrong with Border's or Barnes and Noble. I think between $15 and $25 would be a nice gift (and I am a teacher).

I agree...A heartfelt note is always nice too--(and if you really like her send it to the principal as well so it goes in her file)

I would say a gift card... Starbucks is good too. And I totally agree with the above and DEFINITELY send a copy to the principal. Many parents don't think twice about sending a negative letter but not enough positive ones are sent and entered into our files.

Gift card! They get sooo many lotions, pic frames, etc. I would give a gc to target, something you know they can use.

I agree with this. As a teacher, I never "expect" a from my students at the end of the year, but being acknowledged in that way would really make my day more than any candle, lotion, or picture frame ever would. However, f you feel like you also want to spend money, a gift card is probably more useful than any of those little items. Teachers tend to get so many of those types of presents, and they end up getting stuck on a shelf somewhere!
