Teachers: Leadership lessons and ideas?
I need some help with ideas for this new Leadership program I am starting for the fourth graders in my school. I'll meet with them in small groups once a week to work on projects and presentations and what not. I wanted to know if anyone has any good leadership activities? I would appreciate it!!! THANK YOU!

Re: Teachers: Leadership lessons and ideas?
Team building activities would be a good beginning- I used to do an activity with sixth graders where they are blindfolded (a small group- maybe 6-7 kids) and given a big piece of clotheline knotted at the end. They have to make it into a perfect circle. Of course it ends up being a mess. Then a second group goes, and they think they can do it better, and this time I give them a very small piece of clotheline, which throws them off. Finally the last group goes, but they have to make a square. Usually before and after the lesson we talk about team work, why it's important, etc.
