Teachers? What Week you plan on working until?

Im not preggo yet, but Im just wondering about what week you plan on working until? I know sometimes our jobs can be stressful and Im not sure if your doctor allows you to work up until the end?

Im due Dec 27th and i plan on working up until christmas break...though i wouldnt mind it if my doctor MADE me stop working before that lol...i just don't want to waste my days before i have my baby, if i get put on disability thats another story though ahah

I'm a K-3 traveling science cluster teacher and I plan to work until the end. I'm 35 and a half weeks and still hanging in there. I'd like to save my days until the baby gets here because I have JUST ENOUGH to take my 6 weeks and come back without owing anything. Many other teachers I know were able to do this as well.

Mom's carrying twins or with difficult pregnancies who are not able to work until the end, take medically excused days and then file for disability when they are out of days. There are a few options to stay on pay roll after the birth in these cases, but you will not be paid your full salery when you run out of days in your bank and use up all your borrowed days. There always seems to be a way to work it out though, so good luck to you.

Until my c-section date. I maybe I'll take the day before off, but I mean, if i was going naturally, I would have worked until I had the baby anyway. I took 3 days off before my first c-section only becuase I was in pain.

I'm 39 weeks today and I think that Friday will be my last day.

Wow good for you guys! I didnt know it would be possible to work up until my last day... you guys are giving me hope (for when I do actually get pregnant- hopefully soon)

I stopped working at 38 weeks 4 days...just got too hard to maintain the energy to teach effectively. Plus my long commute got harder every day.

Due Jan 28 and will work until the bitter end!!

I plan on staying until the very end, as long as I am allowed by my doctor.

Im due 12/24 (although last time the dr. told me it was 12/23) anyway, i plan on working until 12/23 which is the last day before christmas break. I will be borrowing days as it i to get paid for my full 6 weeks, so i dont really want to waste any days

I'm not a school teacher, but I teach dance 4 days a week. I taught with my son until the day before I delvered, which was 6 days past my due date. I plan to do the same this time.

I was due Jan 14th last year. I was planning on working until the very end, but I had extreme swelling issues to the point that I could not wear shoes. I bargained with the dr to let me work until xmas break (we had two weeks last year) and then I would be done. They thought bc of my swelling and BP issues I would go early....Sadie was 9 days late.

Like a fool i put my due date in as my last day. That was advised by personnel. Now im thinking of revising and giving my last day as the week before my due date. So instead of Nov 13 as last day (my due date) i would like it to be Nov 6

Im not returning back to school this year

You can definitely make it to the end- I went into labor at work last week (2 days before due date) and even taught math through early labor.

I really didn't get too uncomfortable until the last week or two. It's not ideal to be on your feet all the time and unable to have pee breaks when you need them, but it can absolutely be done!

My last day is next Friday. I will be 37 weeks. I had planned to go another week, but I honestly cannot do it anymore. I work with little kids and I am on my feet all day. Plus, they are all coming in sick and it's just not worth it.

I'm gonna work as long as possible! I want to save as many sick days as I can for afterwards.

I teach 8th grade SS and I plan on working until I feel too tired not to!

I teach Kindergarten and dance (1x per week) . I want to stay at work as long as I can! I think I'll stop teaching dance the week of feb break, bc I want a clean break and I am due March 12.
