Teachers who are expecting- have you ever heard this? Anyone?
An online "friend" from another site I visit told me that teachers are more likely, compared to women in other jobs, to go into preterm labor. I did a Google search and found nothing, but now I'm worried. Has anyone else heard this?

I haven't heard that... but it is scary! I wonder if it has anything to do with being on your feet all day?

I was wondering the same thing- and while I try to sit, it's really hard. I have seventh grade and they're great, but I also feel like I can never take my eyes off them, and when I'm sitting it's really hard.

I have not heard of this, but am not sure how true that is. There are plenty of jobs there pregnant women are on their feet all days..nurses, etc. I am 2nd Grade teacher and while I try and sit as much as I can it is down near impossible. If i sat down, I feel like they would get nothing done.

I have to say that I have never heard this and I hope that it isn't true. Teaching Kindergarten, I feel like I'm on my feet constantly.

Never heard of it but I did go early with my ds but that was for low fluid. My dd was born a day before her due date. I have many colleages who hav gone very close or past their due dates. We are on our feet all day. i wouldn't worry. When Mother Nature says it's time your baby will let you know.
