Teak Outdoor Furniture Set
I got a Teak Outdoor Furniture set over the weekend at the Christmas Tree Shop!
It was a great price and seems like good quality. It looks very similar to this, but only came with 4 chairs.
Anyone looking for outdoor sets - it might be worth the trip there - they had a great selection of stuff!
ETA: For all those asking... the set was outrageously cheap. The original price was $500, but I bought my store's floor sample which had a small nick in the top of it - and they came down to $300! (keep in mind though - there are only 4 chairs)
Also, for anyone who is unfamiliar with them - The Christmas Tree Shops are owned by Bed Bath and Beyond and have SO MUCH home decorating stuff there. They don't have any on Long Island that I know of - but I know there are a few in Connecticut which would probably be closest to LI. Everything from furniture to pictures to dishes to knick-knacks. It is definitely worth the trip to one - at least once. I first discovered them in CT while visiting my brother (he lives near the Danbury, CT location - about 2 hours from LI). Here's the website.
Christmas Tree Shops
I just noticed they have one on Staten Island - but I'm not sure how big that location is.

Re: Teak Outdoor Furniture Set
just as a FYI- teak needs to be oiled to stay that color- otherwise it will turn to grey
I sold patio furniture for 5 years- (Ski shop converted to patio in the summer)

I did read something about that - thanks! Do you know how often you are supposed to oil it?
If I had known how much upkeep was required - I probably wouldn't have bought teak... But oh well - it looks pretty!

I love when teak turns silver-grey - I personally wouldn't do aything to prevent that.
Thanks for the FM Karen I'm going to have to check this place out!

Yes, that's true, but if you maintain it, it will be as nice as when you first bought it so it's really worth it.
Beth I used to work at Ski Stop too, how funny!

I think once a summer is fine- you can get the teak oil from any patio furntiutre store and it will tell you on the bottle
