Team Xtreme Boot Camp Challenge
ran in this event today. It was good especially for a first year event.
I loved that Tyronne and the other guys from the gym were present all day long and out on the course. They are motivating and it was nice to see them.
I would have liked more mud and more challenging obstacles though. I don't know if it's just because of my recent addiction to Crossfit or being insane but I found it to be sort of easy and was hoping for more of a challenge.
Anybody else participate?

Re: Team Xtreme Boot Camp Challenge
I was actually pretty disappointed in the run. This was my first race and I was expecting a whole lot more out of it.
They had us get there an hour early and then started 45 minutes after our schedule dtime---I was starving! lol There were hardly any obstacles and the way they described it on the internet was VERY different from what we got. What time did you run? There weren't many instructors motivating during our run, just pointing us in the wrong direction!
I felt really bad for my husband and the rest of the spectators to be honest. They paid 15 bucks to watch and couldn't see anything!
I loved the hills and enjoyed running in a race but I was pretty bummed by this one specifically.

Re: Team Xtreme Boot Camp Challenge
To be honest I was a bit disappointed too.
Like you said, the obstacles were not as described. That's why I said I wish they were more challenging.
I ran at 12:30 or I was supposed to but when I arrived they just had me start ALONE. Talk about being confused! The course was not clearly marked at all and I know some of that was to confuse the runners and make them do obstacles but I thought it could have been marked better.
I do not think the spectators should have been charged at ALL! I would have been pissed if my family paid to see me and they couldn't.
I was upset that we didn't get t shirts too :( I always get a t shirt even for the races that I have paid less than half of what I paid to do this one.
I guess in my first post I was trying to be nice and didn't want to offend anybody on here but I was bummed too! I think I was more bummed that I skipped Crossfit in order to have energy to complete this and most likely could have done both!

Re: Team Xtreme Boot Camp Challenge
I agree with everything you said! I don't want to offend any one either...I was just expecting so much from this since I've heard nothing but great things about the bootcamp classes themselves!
I ran the 9:30 race. There weren't many instructor there to be honest. I remember 2 that were motivating..the rest justr stood there or even gave us wrong directions! I wasn't competing but my time wold have been much better had I not gone the wrong way so many times! Lol

Re: Team Xtreme Boot Camp Challenge
I didn't do it bc I knew it would be like that. I know of the people who put it together and while their bootcamps are awesome, they don't have the best reputation otherwise...
This is why I do my mud runs in NYC.
