teehee - Where is your hamper?

Especially if you're in apt or small place.

Trying to figure out what's "normal".

(There's no washer/dryer, so "laundry room" is not an option).

We have huge closets, so they (we have 2) are in our bedroom closet.

I was thinking of putting it in the bathroom....do you think the moisture from the shower would be really bad for that?

There's a fan in the bathroom...



The bedroom closet isn't large enough, so if it has to go in our bedroom, it won't be hidden.

We have one in our bedroom and a little one for towels in the bathroom.

i have one in dd room and one in mine and my closets are small upstairs so it's just next to my dresser not hidden... but if someone is coming over then it would get shoved into the closet

My house is pretty small...I have mine in the bathroom linen closet.

Bathroom, but I have a pretty decent sized bathroom for an apt.

As for the fan, use DampRid, it works.

One of our bedroom closets.

I also keep a hamper in the guest bedroom for guest towels.

I have mine in the closet in my bedroom, DH's is also in the bedroom but not hidden in a closet

We use a laundry basket in the hallway linen closet.

We have one in our bedroom and the main bathroom in our house also has one built into the vanity, so there's one in the bathroom too.

Hers is in the master walkin closet, mine is in the spare bedroom closet, with my clothes.

Right now, they are in the closet, b/c we have the room, but in or last 2 apartments, they were in the bedroom. I have rectangular wicker ones with hinged , so they don't stand out too much.

I've never had room in any of my bathrooms. My parents keep theirs in a linen closet.

I keep the hampers in the basement (yes, multiple b/c I like it sorted during the whole collection of clothing and not when I have to start wash). When we rented, it was kept in the bedroom closet.

If you can't fit it in the closet I might consider investing in a nice tall hamper - like those wicker ones with the lids - and keep it in a corner of your bedroom.

tiny apartment inhabitant here.....

our (L-shaped) office desk is in our bedroom, and the hamper is under the console portion of the L, next to the roll out file cabinets. It fits snuggly under there, and doesn't draw attention to itself.... crutial to tiny home living

Ours is in our bedroom, however, here is a tip: invest in a wicker hamper - covers the "dirty clothes" odor...before we had a plastic one and I hated it. I spent $40 on a nice wicker one (with a cover) and it was worth the $ plus it looks nice.

For the time being we got a huge strong laundry bag and have it hanging on the back of the bathroom door. When it starts to get heavy, we move it to the floor behind the door.

ETA:
I think once I clear out the linen closet and move everything from there into the mini closet space in the bathroom(we are putting contact paper in it first) then We'll put the hamper in the linen closet.

I just picture the picture of you in the hamper.

I have our hamper in the bedroom. Even when were in our apt.s, I kept the hamper in the bedroom.

I am going to "reconcile" both in our bedroom. We have too many furniture we don't use.
