Teen Mom 'Throws Fit' Because She's Banned From Seeing Baby On Thanksgiving
Teen Mom star Amber Portwood -- whose daughter Leah this week became of ward of the state in Indiana -- "threw a fit" because she can't spend Thanksgiving with the two-year-old, a source close the mother told RadarOnline.com.
"They're all are spending it at Amber's grandmother's house but Gary and Leah can't be there with Amber," a source connected to the family told RadarOnline.com.
"Amber won't be able to see Leah today and last night was throwing a fit about it -- cussing Gary out when it was the courts decision to permit Amber with only supervised visits.
"She wanted Gary to bend the rules but he won't."
Leah was made a ward of the state as RadarOnline.com exclusively revealed -- and placed in the care of her father, Gary Shirley.
RadarOnline.com has also learned that authorities have classified Leah as a CHINS -- Child In Need Of Service -- thus making her a ward of the state.
DCS presented its assessment to a family court judge Tuesday and the judge made the determination to place the child with Shirley, with monitored visitations for 20-year-old Portwood.
In addition, we've also learned that Portwood may be required to participate in programs that will enable her to show her desire and suitability to be reunited with Leah.
Based on the progress of Portwood through these programs and the testimony from professionals involved with the programs, the judge will determine when -- and if -- she can be reunited with her daughter on a permanent basis.
The 20-year-old mother of one was charged by police with felony domestic violence.

Throwing a fit, cursing him out and asking him to bend the rules will not help her case. I hope she's getting some kind of anger control treatment.
Good for Gary for doing the right thing.

I agree, but Amber is old enough to fend for herself whereas Leah cannot so Leah's needs trump Ambers wants.
I don't know Amber's history but at some point you need to pull yourself up by your bootstraps. Becoming a parent seems like the ideal time.

Can someone explain why she lost custody? I am not a big watcher of the show but have seen a few episodes and she seemed like a decent Mom...
I know her and Gary had some kind of altercation but I would have beat that slob too

i have never seen an episode, but if i wasn't allowed to see my daughters on a holiday i would throw a fit, too. poor child. poor family. just a sad situation all around
