Teething and Medications
Soooooo here we are 6 mos and teething has officially started for us
Here's my ?- how long did you give tylenol or motrin for during the teething stage. I was forced to give my DD tylenol and Motrin (switched bet the 2) over this past weekend as she was in obvious pain (screaming ,crying, gnawing, etc). I want to see what everybody else did during the teething stage- did you continously give them meds or waited till it was obviously bothering them (the pain). and how long did it really last (the teething)? My DD won't nap at all anymore during the day (mind you she is a great napper).I want to do CIO soon but am torn about starting it now she is teething.
Need advice

Re: Teething and Medications
I only give tylenol or motrin when she seems extremely uncomfortable from her teeth. i do give hyland's teething tablets occasionally also, but I try not to give her anything most of the times. a frozen wet washcloth works wonders---and so does a frozen chunk of banana in the teething net.

Re: Teething and Medications
I did tylenol before bed for a few nights in a row.
I got the Hylands teething tablets and then found Gentle Naturals Homeopathc Teething Liquid at a supermarket down here so I got it. Seems to work..... It's made by Orajel but has no medication....just natural herbs and stuff.
She LOVES wet rags and we give her small pieces of crushed ice....LOVES that.
