Teething Question - esp. moms whose DC cut teeth late WWYD

DD is 17 months - she has 2 top and 2 bottom teeth.
Now it appears that she is cutting molars but I don't see a sign of the teeth in between breaking through.
Did this happen to anyone else?
Do I need to take her to the ped. dentist?

DS is the slowest teether ever!!!! He has 7 teeth at 19 months old. He just cut a lower incisor last month. (tooth number 7). He has been cutting a 1 year molar since he was 12 months old. Can see it through the gum. It won't come through! He is now cutting all of his 1 year molars and it is HE L L ...Our pedi said there is nothing that can be done to make them come in any faster. I talked to my dentist and he said the same thing.. DS has thick gums!!! Their teeth can come in at any order. DS got his 2 bottom at 6 months. Two top at 12-13 months. Then his 2 upper incisors 2 months after. His lower incisor came through in early May...

DD only got her bottom two at 9 months and top 2 at 12 mos. I swear the rest have been cutting through for the past 5 months. Its so sad - she will hold her mouth and say ow in the saddest little voice.

This describes both of my kids to a T. DD has been getting her eye teeth for 3 MONTHS now. All 4 of them are coming in at the same time and are taking their sweet time.Chat Icon

It is sad...When he gets really bad, I give him Motrin at night. during the day he just bites on anything he can get his mouth on! I use to give him frozen grapes and watermelon in his mesh feeder when he was younger for the teething pain. It seemed to help. I think I am going to try it again....

My oldest son cut his 1yr molars with only 4 teeth on top and 2 on the bottom. No issues (other than extreme pain and horrible colds/coughs and no sleep for weeks - but he had that with every tooth he got but molars and eye teeth were the worst) and he has great and big baby teeth.

He cut his firsth tooth in his 14th month and his 1 yr molars at age 2, 2 years at 3 and no sign of his 6 yr and he is almost 6.5 and no lost teeth! He had 6 teeth up until he was 2.

DD is 19 months and in 3 months she got 7 teeth!! It was horrible. I do remember her molars taking a few weeks to pop through. I do not think you need to bring her to a dentist just yet, I am sure they will break soon.

i think he is working on 4-6 right now though - GOD HELP US Chat Icon

Chat Icon they WILL come! i really think that by letting him chew on thigs (recently, big fat carrots) has helped. not only does it feel good for him but helps to work his gums

I found another molar on top today - Im glad they are coming through so her pain will be done! I knew this was going to happen - getting them all at once
