tell me it gets easier
someone please tell me this will get easier. I havea 2.5 week old, she had been sleeping beutifully, went done on her own, over the past few she decided to stop sleeping unless I hold her. she also went from eating ever 3-4 hours to every 2 hours. DH is a resident and is never around. I am getting up with her at night, during the day. I had a cryign attack earlier today. plus, i go back to work in 6 weeks and I still dont have a nanny, freaking out about that, and nervous about pumping too - going to start next week to build up a stash, but dont know how it will go at work. basically, i'm just really overwhelmed right now.

Re: tell me it gets easier
It DOES get easier. They go through growth spurts and that changes their eating and sleeping habits, temporarily. Babies are constantly changing. It will get easier - it must - there are so many mommies with 2 under 2!

It definitely gets better, and sooner than you think! Right now you are in the THICK of it ... just take it one day at a time. My DD is 8 weeks old and while it's still such a demanding and difficult job being a mom, it is SO much better than the first few weeks. Hang in there and always remind yourself that everything you're feeling is so totally normal and you will get through it like everyone else.

Re: tell me it gets easier
I think it def gets easier. For me the first 4 weeks were rough. I had a nervous breakdown at about week 3 and called my Mom who had to drive here from PA (I'm in NJ). I literally couldn't see straight b/c I was so sleep deprived. As they get older you get more into a routine with them...my DD is only 9 weeks old but it is already much easier then it was.

Re: tell me it gets easier
That's exactly what happened with DS. At 2.5 weeks he went through a growth spurt. BF every hour.
It lasted for 4 weeks. But what happened is that it was not just a growth spurt. Just at the beginnng. So I kept feeding him but in fact I think he was overtired (he did not take naps) and gas and did not realize it.
At 8.5 weeks he is more willing to take naps. I don't have to hold him every second. That was the problem with gas. Very fussy and crying ALL DAY long.
