Tell me to remain calm!!
Our closing date has been tentatively pushed back another 4 weeks. This pushes the closing to August. And we all know that you can't move in the day you close. This puts a lot of pressure on DH to paint the rooms even quicker. And it's going to make it harder for me to clean the old place and the new place. (Cleaning at 8 months pregnant, OOF! But cleaning at 9 months pregnant in the August heat! ) I need 'keep the baby in until the due date' vibes!!!!! My realtor tells me to do the Lamaze breathing to calm me.

Re: Tell me to remain calm!!
This is what happened to us - we closed a month later than anticipated and I am on bed rest and now told the baby is coming 3-4 weeks early!
As I have learned - just get done with you can and I realized last night I can't stress the rest - it will get done.

Re: Tell me to remain calm!!
that sucks, but you can do it. Ask for help, there is nothing wrong with that. Ask friends, family member, who ever is offering. get some pizza, beers for guys and do what you can. YOu can always hire someone to do it if you have to.

Re: Tell me to remain calm!!
Just hang in there! I moved from an apartment to a house when my DD was 10 days old. My Dh at the time had all kids of people offer to help out. Try not to stress too much!

Re: Tell me to remain calm!!
PLEASE hire a cleaning person- it's totally worth it and NOT expensive.
I moved (and cleaned) at 7 months and it was difficult. NOW (at 9 months) there is absolutely no way I could do it. You don't need to be around all those cleaning supplies anyway (I know- reaching here).
ALTHOUGH- it might help bring on labor......

Re: Tell me to remain calm!!
I totally feel for you. We moved into our house 2 years ago in August and it was so hot doing all the cleaning and painting. I wasn't pregnant and it was exhausting.
My suggestion is use your extra time to be the ultimate packer. Pack your boxes according to room and how you want it put away, list all of the contents on a box or number the boxes and list the contents on a spread sheet. This way if someone is unpacking for you, or if you need to find something yourself it will be much easier.
Can you hire someone to do the cleaning? Cleaning an empty house or apartment should be cheaper than cleaning a furnished one.
Have you considered a painting party after you close? I'd come help paint (I really like painting) but I'll be as pregnant as you this August.
Talk to your attorney, see if there is anthing s/he can do to push the date. We had a great attorney that made sure things worked for us at the end.

Re: Tell me to remain calm!!
Well the good thing is - the baby won't NEED a finished room right away - so don't fret. And like someone else said - just be a very precise packer to make it easier when you're unpacking. We moved in early October and we still haven't unpacked...we through so much stuff into boxes - don't know what the heck is in half of them!
