Teller's...
is totally overrated. I've given it about 5 chances, but I last night is the last time I will ever go there.
I've tried to keep convincing myself I like it because of all the hype, but I'm not trying anymore. Yeah, the steaks are good - but you can get a great steak at other good restaurants. The sides are "ok" and expensive, and even my dessert was "ok". Just totally not worth the $275 it cost us.
Besides the fact it's probably the loudest restaurant I've been to.
Thanks for the Teller's vent.

I agree. The food is good but way over priced and it is always sooooo loud and eveyrtime I have been there kids are running around. I think the coolest part is the style and decor.

I think it's a matter of taste. Teller's is still one of my favorite steakhouse on Long Island. The atmosphere is really nice.

I think it's a matter of taste. Teller's is still one of my favorite steakhouse on Long Island. The atmosphere is really nice.
I totally agree, we go there at least once a year and I have NEVER been disappointed. I love their steaks - on par with Peter Luger - and have tasted nothing to compare to them on LI yet.
I love the fact that we are never rushed, we have spent over four hours there at times with no pushing to get out.
By far my fave steak place on LI.

i liked it - would go back again. Definitely on par with peter lugars (in brooklyn of course) and 21main in sayville.

We didn't enjoy the food, atmosphere, or service, and were surprised by all the hype considering there are so many other better steakhouses on LI (in our opinion).

Thank you! I thought there was something wrong with me.
That's all it is- hype! They could serve an Applebee's steak in there and people would rave about because it is the all famous TELLER'S. And also because they over charge for it so it MUST be good.
I was so dissappointed I wanted my money back.
Hence why I stay away from any place that is over hyped...

Thats how I felt when we went. Overrated, food was good but so not worth it. I rather Ruth Chris or Peter Lugers anyday.

I like it, mainly because of the atmosphere though. I definitely prefer Morton's to Teller's.
