Telling our families....w/poll
So I need some opinions...
Since this is out 3rd pg this year and since we just had that big scare on Monday, we have decided not to tell our families just yet.
we were thinking of telling our immediate families after next week's follow up but now we aren't sure...we told both immediate families right away the last 2 times and we want to make it special this time but are out of ideas...
We are having a big thanksgiving dinner with my family and his family and some aunts, uncles and cousins.
Do you think we should tell our parents after next week or do a big family announcement at thanksgiving which will be a few days shy of 12 weeks?

We told my fam at a big 'thanksgiving dinner' even though it was in August!

Re: Telling our families....w/poll
Here is my question.....If god forbid something does happen with this pregnancy, will you tell them the bad news???
We had a miscarriage, and didn't know I was even pregnant until it was almost over.
We got pregnant 2 months later, and decided to tell our immediate families right away, only because if god forbid something did happen again, we would be telling them that news also. Our motto was start with the happy and know that it may not work out.
We were also in a bit of a different position, because we did not know we were pregnant the first time, so there wasn't the build up and excitement with the crash of the bad news.
In your position, based on what I have seen from your last two, I would say wait til Thanksgiving. I could just picture it, as everyone goes around and says what they are thankful for.

Re: Telling our families....w/poll
Joe and I had a m/c at 10w2d after EVERYBODY knew we were pg and it was so hard on our family's. We waited until after the ultrascreen this time to tell most people, but my mom, grandparents, dad, and step-mother knew because we had to tell do to a previous engagment. I know you're excited, but to be honest I would wait until Thanksgiving. At the 12wk mark you'll also be more relaxed and it'll be a point that people will feel more excited then nervous for you. I just remember my mom, and family being terrified for those 4wks waiting for us to make it to the 2nd tri. As excited as I was I was very happy to see the looks of relief when people knew we were out of the "danger" zone after we announced it and how far along we were.

Oh I am praying that this one is viable and healthy for you too!!!!! After you posted that you were preg again, I actually told my DH your story, and said that I really hope this one is a keeper for you!!!!
