Telling people OOS...

How did you tell your parents/friends that you were pregnant if you or they live out of state?

We waited until we saw them-but it was easy, we were visiting 1 month after we found out.

I told my parents over the phone, but I waited until we saw everyone else to tell them (at about 10 weeks)

I told my mom, who lives in Georgia, on Easter that I was PG, on the phone. I am a little over 9 weeks. I wish I waited till I got to my second trimester though... she's calling me everyday and it is really annoying!

I mailed my aunt a copy of the sonogram pic inside a card...She was ecstatic...

I waited to visit until I told my parents and siblings that live in NY. I was 11 weeks.

We sent my DH's parents a photo brag book that said Grandma on the cover and put our U/S picture in it. It was right before my MIL's b-day so we told her we sent a gift and to call us when she got it and open it on the phone so we could hear her reaction.

We mailed DH's sister a card asking if her kids wanted a baby cousin.

I mailed my brother who doesn't live in NY a magnet that said Uncle in Chinese symbols that I found online and he had to call me and ask what it meant.

I mailed my dad an onesie and a card with the announcement. He lives in Iowa.
He was crying!

Dad’s the contact for the rest of the family in Texas. He’s waiting until we know the sex to tell the rest of the family.
