Temp Rise and Positive OPK??
So, I woke up this morning with what seemed to be a post-ovulation temperature for me...of course I was bummed out because I never got my positive OPK and we only BD'd on CD12 so far (which was Friday). Of course I still did my OPK and was shocked to see the smiley face. Now I am totally confused. Granted, I got up late today so I suppose that could skew the temperature...but I got up late yesterday and it was much lower. Any ideas? Am I ovulating today? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

I never did the Temp thing so sorry I have no input with that, but if you got a smiley face on the OPK that means you are going to O in the next 24-36 hours, so I would get to BD'ing

for me, and i am addicted to charting, i would always dip low the day before "O", slightly higher the day OF, and then much higher the day after "O"
so i would say you may be ovulating today

from my experience with temping you need a few days of high temps before you can confirm O, so if you slept later than usual today you may have an initial high temp that isnt necessary post-ovulatory.
however it is also possible to still get +OPKs very close after you release the egg too so you will need a few more days of high temps to confirm if you O'ed prior to this mornings temp or not.
did you have EWCM to coincide with the temp rise??

I started temping this month, but that is exactly what happened to me too. My OPK was positive on the day fertility friend says I O'd.

Thanks for the input. I had the tiniest bit of ewcm the other day. This month and last month I have not had nearly as much as usual (of course these being the only two months of officially trying). I guess I'll see what my temp is tomorrow and go from there. In the meantime we made sure to bd this afternoon and will continue to do so until I confirm O. Thanks again ladies.

If you don't get a BFP this month, try drinking a cup of green tea during the first half of your cycle to help produce EWCM. Sorry if this is TMI, but I had a ton more EWCM this month b/c of that.

Thanks! I may try that. I have been taking mucinex and we did use preseed for the first time so hopefully that helped!
