Temperature Question
So, it's official! We are definitely TTC next month. I'm so happy that I won't be a lurker here anymore!
I started charting this month and I entered it on fertility friend but I can't figure out how to post the chart.
I'm on CD 14 today.
I had AF for 7 days- last two days were spotting. I never had dry days after AF- some sticky/creamy and then went right to EWCM on CD 11.
My temps have been between 97.6-98.0 Mostly around 97.7-97.9.
Today is my third day of EWCM- so, I expect to O today and then my temps should rise.
Last month I took my temps twice after O'ing and they were 98.5 and 98.6. I guess I just have really high temps. In TCOYF she said this could be hyperthyroidism but I get AF every month and always have very definite EWCM.
Does this sound normal? Sorry to be a worrywart pest! Thanks so much!

FM!
Alot of my cycles were like this as well. I had alot of high temps too. I wouldn't worry about them.

Re: Temperature Question
My temps are always high but I do have hyperthyroidism. I always have regular cycles and get AF.
You should always have your thyroid checked before ttc. It's part of a physical.

Re: Temperature Question
Thank you Michelle and Marcie!
Marcie- I got your FM and I will try and do that to post my chart!
Michele- I just made an appt tomorrow with a OB/GYN to talk about TTC next month and I will ask her about doing bloodwork.
I did a little research (being a worrywart) and I copied and pasted this "article" from Medicinenet.com ---------------------------------------------------
Member: I've been charting for the first time and my temp fluctuates between 97.6 and 97.9 degrees Fahrenheit, never getting above 97.9. Is this normal -- to have a low temp that fluctuates? I am on CD 16 and nothing above 97.9 so far. Any advice?
Dr Amos: You may not have ovulated yet. It's normal for the temperatures to be around those levels before you ovulate. Once you ovulate the temperatures go up by at least 0.2 degrees. And then they stay up until your next menstrual period comes. If you are pregnant, then the temperatures stay up for 15+ days after ovulation. That's one of the earliest signs that you are pregnant.
Member: So her 97.9 should stay that way until she ovulates, then she will hit 98.1?
Dr Amos: At least 98.1, or more. Often, the temperatures after ovulation go higher than 0.2 degrees. Many times it's at least 0.5 degrees higher.
