Tempurpedic and Sweating
Does anyone have this mattress or anything foam-like related and sweat??
My poor DH sweats so much during the nite, he wakes up in puddles and with that, he hasnt had a good sleep in a Loooong time. Of course, when I call they tell me they never heard of that happening with the mattress I have since I have an extra "pillow top" on it that was said to reduce body heat when I bought it. And I have a mattress pad on top of that. I need a hi-chair just to get into this freakin bed, its so high.
We've had it since last August.........in the winter, we're OK, but the summer its just rediculous and its not even that hot in our room. And I know its just goint to get worse since its only May.
Any suggestions or any certain mattress tops anyone has heard of that reduces this drastically? I'm so desperate for help here I dont know what to do. Very frustrating.

Actually someone told me the same. I had never heard about that either.
She uses cotton mattress covers to help.

Re: Tempurpedic and Sweating
it totally makes sense to me - tempurpedic is not cotton so it can't "breath"

Re: Tempurpedic and Sweating
this is why DH refused to even consider it. The thought of foam made him sweat.

I had the same problem and that was why we did not order it after I went to a store to test it out. I asked the sales person about the hot feeling and he said he never heard of that beofre. I am glad that I was not alone in this feeling.

A cotton mattress top is already on, and still no help. That was one suggestion they had given me already. Maybe I should be on the lookout for a thicker one if I can even find it somewhere???
DH is ready to connect some type of ductwork/tubing from the A/C and run it directly to the mattress.

Re: Tempurpedic and Sweating
we've had our for about 4 years and have never had this problem. we do use a cotton "waterproof" mattress liner on the bed but have always used one of those on any bed i've had.

Re: Tempurpedic and Sweating
We have this mattress, and I do notice it retains the heat in there. I'm always hot too! I haven't found my happy medium yet. Please let me know if you find a trick to this. The only other thing is to put the A/C on before you get into bed, and it will retain the cold air to make for a more comfortable night.
