Hi there; just venting. This is my 8th year teaching & 4th in RVC. I started my tenure application/process last May as per my principal's recommendation. I've gotten nothing but the runaround from the admin office.

They tell me it was denied b/c they need an updated certification certificate (UMMMM my cert is professional so as long as I take my workshops/ed classes it stays permanent. I made sure to update it on the NYS site b/c private schools don't automatically do it. But the state doesn't send you a new certification every 5 years)

Then after speaking to the head honcho re: my religious basic ed classes re: tranferring my basic from Brooklyn (that I took & it was torture) & she said that was fine----the secy in the office tells me someone else needs to approve (& in the denial it says I never took the classes.) I want to Chat Icon

I think I'm just going to have my principal fight this battle b/c I sent over all necessary paperwork 2-3x over & spoke & emailed & still the runaround.
Has anyone else in the diocese found this??? It just seems they are hesitant to make anyone tenured.
