Termite detector/bait

The old homeowners have termite detectors (those round green things) placed all around our house in the ground. DH and I are going to start our spring yard clean up and were wondering how often we have to replace them? Some of them are even lifting up...can we replace them ourselves or do we have to contact a termite company?

Anyone anyone? I would really like to know this as well! Our contractor cracked open one of ours and DH tossed it in the garbage.

Where can i get these things?

we have a termite contract with our termite company and they come 3 times a year to check the traps and refill them with the bait if needed.

Im sure you can get these at Hd or Lowes

I have a feeling the old homeowners had a contract with a company as well, just dont know which one. I guess I could always get a new one to come take a look. Any recommendations? How much does this cost? It's always something else with owning a house
