terrifed for DH - UPDATE

UPDATE: DH has a good relationship w/his boss and walked into his office and asked his boss to be honest, should he start packing up. His boss said why and DH said he saw the list by accident. His boss says that list wasn't final, and then held up the final list of people who would be staying. DH was on the list. WHEW!!!



I’m freaking out.DH just called me. He said he accidentally saw a list on one of the senior level people’s desk at his job and he thinks it’s a list of people who are being kept, with all others being let go. DH's name is not on that list. I asked him if he thought that perhaps it was the reverse, people who were being kept and he said no because his boss and one of the other head guys (whose desk the list was on) were on there. Oh my god. I’m sitting at my desk shaking and all DH is saying is to relax. He called his boss on the phone (not in the office, which makes me even more nervous that he’s hiding) and he didn’t pick up. I don’t know what I’m going to do. We’re still recovering from when I lost my job. The list had everyone’s salary next to their name. I can’t figure out what else it could possibly be and neither can DH. I just don’t understand, they gave him a raise, made a point of saying he'll be kept and now he's on this list??? His company always lays people off on Fridays. i can't concentrate now. i'm so scared..

I would say "don't worry till you need too", but I know it's impossilbe.

Maybe it is a budget list? Budgeting for next year? You never know...don't panic until you are sure
