Terrified of Bees & Gardening

We are closing on a house next month...everytime I see a bee I run like heck...

My FH is worried that I won't be able to participate in gardening/exterior grooming.

I'm kind of worried too..I've had this fear since I was little and still have not overcome it.

I can rely on him to mow the lawn...but as far as asthetics go...I don't know how involved I will be able to be.

Is there a month that you can plant where there are little insects out?

thanks.

Nope! Sorry! You can plant in the spring after the last frost. You can always plant bulbs in the fall to come up in the spring or summer but sometimes they get eaten!

Re: Terrified of Bees & Gardening

I have been doing all the gardening at our house and bees have not been a problem... Spiders, now that I would be more worried about. I got bit by one last week on my leg. The same day there was a spider running up my other leg. Today I had one on my hand. Just make sure you buy gloves to garden with!
