Test to figure out the baby's sex-- with the chain and e ring

I am at my friends place and we wanted to try this thing-- what are the rules and what means what-- the direction the chain spins, etc.

Hopefully I am explaining this right!

I know exactly what you are talking about!! Put the ring on the string, it will either

go straight back and forth

or make a circle

I forget which is which, though! I "think" circle is boy, but I am not 100% sure!!

I think circle is a girl.
Back and forth is a boy.

Ok-- we did a little research and confirmed online that it's circle for girl and back and forth for boy... we got boy from our little test...

I was with her all afternoon and then we went out for dinner with our DH's... her contractions sped up from 20 mins apart to about 9 mins by the end of dinner-- hopefully she'll have the baby tomorrow and we'll know if the test is right (she's 3 days late and VERY ready to give birth)

Some delivery dust for her...
