Testing for IVF
What tests do you typically HAVE to have done prior to your IVF cycle? I know water sono.....HSG, too? Just trying to anticipate what I'm in for.
Also, girls that go to LI-IVF, do you know if they do those tests any time during the day (afternoon hours) and on Saturdays? Just trying to figure out how much time I might need to take for work if I need some tests done.
I am going Tuesday to the orientation class, so I should know more then.

Re: Testing for IVF
I went to a different practice but here is what we had to do: hsg & s/a were done before IUI's. For IVF, we had a ton of bloodwork, current pap smear, water sono, test to see if there were no issues in getting the catheter where it needs to go to do the transfer. I think that was it...
Good Luck!

Re: Testing for IVF
I'm sure every clinic is different..
I would think the only testing you HAVE to get done is B/W and a mock tx...the rest depends on your diagnosis and your RE

Re: Testing for IVF
I go to LIIVF. Both DH and I had to have extensive bloodwork done and DH had to have the SA done.
I had had my HSG done before I started with the RE so they took the report that was part of my medical records. I had to get the water sono and endometrial biopsy done.
I go to the Melville office, but to get the water sono and biopsy done I had to go to Lake Success for some reason. I think it depends which dr. you are seeing and when you are trying to get the appointment. One was done in the morning and one in the afternoon...but I can't remember if I requested that or if that wa just what was available. Both tests literally took no time at all. I barely was in the waiting room, and the procedures themselves were ridiculously quick...so I don't think you would necessarily need a whole day off - probably depends what time you can get. ETA: both were done on weekdays.
