Text Messages...
Okay --- I don't even understand my husband. I just got our cell phone bill and he sent 239 text messages last month and recieved 220! That's 459 text messages and yes, they are only 10c/each but that ends up to nearly $50 and I think it's just so unnecessary!

Re: Text Messages...
Yikes!!! I don't think I have sent 50 text messages since I had my cell phone.
There are plans where you can unlimited text messaging - I would look into that if your DH intends to use this feature. Most cell companies will allow upgrades to existing plans during the contract year but it will probably restart the contract so you will another one or more likely 2 years to go.

Re: Text Messages...
I probably send/recieve about 40 a month --- most of them from him. I mean, it's sweet and all, but he really doesn't need to text me every day saying all cutie stuff. A better idea would be to leave me a FREE voice mail!
He'd kill me if he knew I was posting this here but he seriously sits in the bathroom doing his business and text messages his brother while in there. It's so sad. The two of them hate the phone but can't go a day without taking to eachother so they sit there and text eachother.

Re: Text Messages...
Since we use AIM for work, I have my IM messages forwarded to my cell. I have the unlimited plan & receive at least 200+ work related --- then again work is paying for my cell phone.
Definitely look into the unlimited plan.

Re: Text Messages...
Tonight, I know I did a lot of text messaging..the reason, my family left @ 9:30 last night and started driving down to FL. They text me @ work, I sneak a text back, etc.. Once they get to the house tonight, there will be no more.

Re: Text Messages...
Also wanted to point out that ALL cell phone providers allow you to send unlimited FREE text messages if you go to their website... I get text messages most of the times when I'm at work or home, and when I respond, I always jump online and reply, at no extra cost for myself. Here are the sites if anyone is interested:
*Cingular Blue (Formerly AT&T) *Cingular (Orange) *Sprint *Tmobile *Verizon
PS: The only issue about sending via online is that you have to know which provider the receiver is affliated with.

Re: Text Messages...
I hardly ever use text messaging. Is he using it to chat on AIM? I think we have unlimited for $5 a month..defintiely look into it. Even if it's $10, that's WAY better than 50!
