Thank goodness for my new job
Alex is still sick. She has been throwing up since Tuesday and her fever is all over the place. Yesterday she was doing better, so I took her outside for a little while, but then she puked all over the street, and her fever went back up to 102
So, I've basically been working only 2-3 hours a day, and it's absolutely NO problem. When I showed up today, everyone was suprised, and told me to go home and take care of her
At my last job, they would be harassing me at home, and I'd be a ball of stress, trying to figure out how I would be able to make up all the billable hours.
I love working for the government

Re: Thank goodness for my new job
Once again we are completely on the same page. Hope Alex is feeling better and I will reiterate "go home and take care of her." Oh and by the way do it completely free of guilt !!!!
By the way, I just made the woman who's office is next to mine go home, as she is 8 months pregnant and feeling like cr*p. I'm handling her afternoon conferences. I explained to her once again "this is the government."

Re: Thank goodness for my new job
That's great! Isn't it great not feeling guitly about staying home with a sick child? My new company is very family friendly. The lady I report to is 36 weeks pg and everyone else has kids 4 yrs and younger.
Hope Alex feels better soon.
