Thank you girls for the support!
Hey girls, It doesn't look like my embryo is making it for transfer. Dr. T said that he does not want to transfer embryos that are poor quality because he does not want to put me through another miscarriage. I do appreciate that. So now what? I spent $3000+ out of pocket in copays for these last two IVFs and I really don't have another $1500 to proceed with IVF #3. In addition he wants me to get HGH(human growth hormone) for the next cycle and that is at least $800 a pen. I am just so overwhelmed. We are blessed to have IVF coverage and full meds coverage but that will soon run out. I'm just shocked how we can have no embryos from two IVFs. It's so sad. I'm only 32. I think I have to just come to terms that my body is just too damaged at this point. Sorry to vent but I just can't believe this entire week. Would it be stupid to want to do an IUI next cycle? I don't think I can afford cycle #3 anytime soon. We are still repairing our home from Sandy :/

I'm sorry it didn't work out.
Did you ask the dr. About going back to IUI? Maybe doing an IUI with hgh included? I don't know exactly how that works. It gets very expensive, I know. The financial part if this makes it 1000000x harder to deal with.

This is exactly what I'm thinking. Hoping to consult with him next week. He is thinking my ovaries are not functioning normally with IVF. It's almost like the meds are giving my ovaries the opposite reaction. I'm wondering if I should just take a break and do an IUI. He's concerned that my ovaries donot respond to the HCG trigger. This might explain why after some triggered cycles, I still had follicles remaining at cd3 sono. I think I'm one of those freak cases.

I'm so sorry. Definitely discuss all of this with Dr. T. Would the changes that he wanted to make to your protocol carry over to the IUI? If so, it may be worth it to give that route a shot.
Is DH going to have the surgery for the variocele? (Not sure if I spelled that correctly). If so, maybe giving your body a break while he does that will improve your chances.
We're all here for you if you want to yell, scream, vent, etc.

Thinking about you all week. I'm sorry it didn't work out. I know that feeling. The dr seems to have your best interest at heart which is big. Sending hugs to you..

Ugh this really stinks. And thank god they are honest and caring at Sirm. RSny would've done the transfer as they did to me. HGH didn't help my egg quality but has helped many. Praying for u!!!

Ugh I'm so sorry. At least he was honest with you about transferring the embryo. If I was you I would give your body a little break than regroup and decide from there. I know after my last IVF and subsequent FET I was an emotional mess. It kind of felt good to take a break from all the appointments and IVF stress. If I were you I would keep trying naturally..I know you have gotten pregnant in the past quite frequently on your own. You truly never know..the next pregnancy may be the sticky one. I would also try the varicocele repair for your DH..it' can't hurt.

I'm so very sorry Lillies. Taking a break could help monetarily and mentally IDK. This certainly is tough.

Re: Thank you girls for the support!
I'm in a similar situation as you , also with the same insurance. It was my dr's suggestion to proceed with aggressive iuis ( most of the same medications as ivf , I am a low responder who has never been a hint of pregnant and have unexplained infertility ), on a "break" now to check on a couple other health issues and to maybe get a second opinion or two, but this may be how I may proceed.
We just need to keep plugging away!

I'm so sorry. What about doing a micro Ivf?
Or like P said back to back iuis with the extra meds.

Re: Thank you girls for the support!
Thanks so much, seriously to you all. I am having a better day today. Me and DH were able to talk and we will not do another IVF until he does the varicocele surgery. I also want to consult with a few surgeons about potential endo and we want to get our home sold. We are putting it on the market this month! I'll see what Dr. T says next week. I don't want to switch REs at all and am happy with the care he gave. I despise these breaks with all of my heart but I think it's necessary before we spend more money.

I think this is a great plan!! Plus with putting your house on the market, better off this is on hold. Selling & buying a home can be quite time consuming.
