Now that DS is 3.5 months I am finally able to sleep pretty well and am feeling more like myself. I am realizing that the first three and half months of his life have been so amazing, but also so hard. My mom died when I was a little girl and my dad died when I was in my 20s. I have no siblings. I have some great friends, but not many of them have little ones.
I have realized that the moms on this site have been my saviors. When other girls may have called their moms in a panic or with a simple curious question, I have turned here. It has made me feel connected and in the know about all this mom stuff when I was anxious and feeling inadequate and alone. I don't post all that often, but I read posts everyday. I search for old posts, and read all the opinions and advice given along the way.
I just wanted to thank everyone for all of the support and "friendship" that you may not even know you supplied to me. I am looking forward to getting involved in GTGs when DS is a little older and meeting some of you. I can't say it enough... thanks so very much!

Awww - that was a very sweet post and as some one that relies on the advice and support of the mom's here in absence of my own mom....I completely get what you are saying.
I think we've said this before but....I think we went to HS together and knew a few of the same people.

Aww!! That's great that you feel that way. I know that my own venture into motherhood would have been a lot more overwhelming then it has been had it not been for this site. And the support from these ladies is just incredible.

Nicely put! I'm the first of my friends to have a baby and none of my relatives live near LI. The suggestions other moms have made on this site have been very helpful to me as well!
