I would call the non emergency number and ask them. If you call the fire department ALL the trucks will show up.

Re: someone please help meeeeeeeee

it could be the batteries...
our carbon monoxide detector went off at 5am a few months ago- it was the batteries.

Re: someone please help meeeeeeeee

you wouldn't smell anything..carbon monoxide is odorless. i would call the non-emergency # at the police / fire dept. to be on the safe side.

No, you can't smell or see or hear CO gas. I'd check the batteries and call the non-fire number and have them check it.

no - its not CO its just GAS... i read the detector... it said that if CO was detected, it would say "CO" if explosive gas was detected, it would say "GAS".... it said "GAS" when it went off... not CO

We made mulled wine a few weeks ago and it set off out gas detector. We had the gas company come over and that is what it was. I would call the gas company to be safe but its probably nothing. You don't have to call 911 - the gas company has a line for this.

Re: someone please help meeeeeeeee

Is it worth debating about? To me, getting it looked at if it's gas, CO or dead batteries is still good reasons.

lol i just didnt want everyone to think that it was CO - my point was the fact that i was asking if i would be able to smell GAS or not...i know you cant smell carbon monoxide
