Thanks Ladies and a small piece of advice for hospital "wear"
Hello Ladies! Just had my Daughter on July 3rd at Stony Brook and although joined you all late in my 8 month i wanted to thank those that helped me and wish all of you the very best! Motherhood is the most time-consuming but REWARDING job ever!!!
Also, gotta add this. I wore my maternity underwear the day i arrived for my scheduled c-section. I brought a pack of them with me to the hospital. Would you believe I retained sooo much fluid that the underwear I wore to the hospital was so tight AFTER delivery!!! I had deep red elastic marks all around my back!! i had to make my mother go out a buy HUGE granny panties. MAJOR fluid retention this time around. This is my 2nd child and I did not have this at all the first time around so i guess you just never know. The nurses said that it sometimes happens. Well I am now back home and 20+ pounds lighter 10 days later.
Many Blessings to all of you and feel free to email me anytime if you have any questions

Re: Thanks Ladies and a small piece of advice for hospital "wear"
Thanks everyone!
As for the whole fluid retention it is rare to have it like i did but the nurse said that she has had other patients whose underwear was tighter AFTER birth!! Could be that i retained a lot in my hips and back this time around Never had this with the first so it was very odd It went down though by the time i left 4 days later but you really need the underwear! wearing those bulky pads!
Think the weight is dropping fast this time around because i am fully nursing whereas the first time i also supplemented and had a hard time with milk production Good Luck
