Thanks to everyone that helped me figure out what kind of cover I wanted to make for my bridesmaid dress (PIC)

Thank you all! Most voted on a 3/4 sleeve, but I made it a bit longer than that. I kept trying to even them out, but I was just tired of sewing, so I gave up. It's tough to do something with no pattern and do it on yourself. Chat Icon

I just wanted to cover my arms at the reception and it worked. I wanted to show you how it worked out:

(Obviously I am the fat chick with the lace jacket.)

You rocked it. I'm so envious that you can make yourself something.

Was it comfortable?

Did you end up getting the right bra? It looks like you did.

It was very comfy. But I wanted to reinforce the stitching the day of the wedding and didn't get the chance. So some of the stitching came out at the end reception.

The main problem we had was the hook on the dresses was poorly made. We all popped out of our dresses. I spent the entire wedding day having to sew people into their dresses so they stayed on. There were 8 bridesmaids, so there was a LOT of sewing. Chat Icon Chat Icon

I did get an EXCELLENT bra at Blums. It is called the Goddess.

That came out great! I used to sew ribbons on my ballet shoes but that's as far as I ever got! I am envious of your talents!

Flattering was the key word. We were bridesmaids with many 20 seomethings that never had kids. We wanted something to cover the mom pooch. Chat Icon

One of the bridesmaids just gave birth 7 weeks before the wedding. She wanted flattering in the belly and I agreed. Chat Icon
