I've been obsessing over this! So far I'll be making:

turkey w/ homemade gravy
potato bread sausage stuffing
cornbread stuffing
creamed spinach

baked sweet potatoes
brussel sprouts or green beans
creamed onions
mac & cheese
biscuits
cranberry sauce and compote

Dessert:

So far, mom is baking baklava and I am still deciding on what else to make.

I think we might be related betw our TG &Christmas eve menus!!

Im still undecided about the lasagna/soup thing too....every year we have lasagna, and every year we say its going to be our last bc we get too filled up from it...but i'll prob wind up making it again!

What kind of soup are you thinking?

Enjoy the last few days of your pregnancy!!!
I was due for the last 2 years right around this week--how exciting the holidays will be for you&your family this year!!

Thank you for the good wishes... we are excited, I just wish she will make an appearance before the turkey does!!!
How funny is that about our menus.. we just might be related...lol. Mt grandma usually makes either pasta or soup as stated earlier. If we have soup (becuase the pasta is filling and it is just our immediate family this year) she makes chicken soup (from scratch) with dandelion greens. It is sooooo delicious!
I am so excited to eat this year..lol.

Re: Thanksgiving Menu

Well, my family barely eats (where the he!! do I come from???), so I'm not going overboard this year. I'm always stuck with a TON of food...

spinach dip and pita chips
cheese and crackers

turkey
stuffing
mashed potatoes (for DH)
sweet potato pie
creamed spinach
asparagus
cranberry sauce

pecan pie
fresh fruit

Hmmmmm, still seems like too much Chat Icon
