Thanksgiving Turkey Q.
Does anyone use "brine" when they are preparing the turkey?
What does it add? I'm cooking for thanksgiving and I want to try something different with the Turkey

I don't. I cover the turkey with cheesecloth soaked in butter. Let it cook, then towards the end, take off the cheesecloth, and baste the turkey in a mix of melted butter and maple syrup. It's so freaking good. I got the recipe from Marths Stewart and every year we name the turkey Martha
