It's basically pulled from the "Australia" movie directed by Baz Lurhman (as is the commercial). The kid was a character in the movie. But I didn't see it, and by the box office returns, neither did too many other people!!!

I didn't see it either, but it is really popular here. I just have no interest in seeing it, maybe b/c I am hating Australia at the moment.

I find it pretty creepy. I had my back turned to the TV the first time I saw it, The sound went all quiet for a while and then all I heard was a child whispering.
Don't like it at all.
Besides, I don't really get it. Doesn't promote tourism for me.
Show me Aborigenes, show me Aires Rock, show me Sydney Harbour. That would make me want to go.
