That pink lotion they use for mani's/pedi's...
What's it called and where can I get it??? I kept asking the lady at the nail place and she just kept saying for professional use only. Is there any place I can get this? I have a skin condition and that stuff is the only thing I've ever used that makes it practically invisible, but I can't go every other day just for lotion!

Try Sally Hansen beauty supply, or go to a different salon/nail place and see if they'll tell you

It'd be a lil more helpful if you could give us a brand or something to search for but Sally's Beauty Supply does tend to have a fair bit of nail/lotion stuff. Can you ask to purchase a bottle from your nail place?

I know exactly what you are talking about and I know the name but my brain is not finding it!!
It's thick & pink. My old manicurist used to heat it up too.
It smells like roses sort of.
It's not from Queen Helene is it?

Yes, thick and pink and very creamy. I looked on Sally Hansen and Queene Helene and I don't see anything that looks like it.
I have no clue who makes it because the nail place puts it in their own pump bottles with no name on it. They didn't sell it, she just kept saying for professional use only and tried to sell me some other foot cream and I'm not even looking for it for my feet. The nail places must get it in big bottle, cause everyplace I've ever been has had it in their own pumps with no names on them.

If you want to get nasty, tell them that the NYS law says that anything they use on you is supposed to be in a bottled that is clearly labelled. There may even be a requirement that ingredients be listed. Any nails techs here to weigh in?

ohhhh really? Well, I don't want to get nasty with them--I like these ladies. Maybe I'll go to another place and ask where I don't have to worry about them cutting me.

Re: That pink lotion they use for mani's/pedi's...
There used to be or still is a beauty supply shop on Sunrise Hway in Freeport and a long time ago, my mom got it for me there. In a big bottle.
I cannot think of the name of it at all. It totally escapes me.
This shop is an independent store - not a Sally. It's open to the public too. It's next to the lighting shop by the train station.
