That post below (Dr. Braverman) has me thinking...

I see him and at this point, have been very happy with how I've been treated. I just wonder if it would be best to see or at least get a second opinion from an RE. Dr. Braverman diagnosed me with PCOS, prescribed Clomid for one cycle and is now monitoring me during this unmedicated cycle. I trust him and like the staff, but would an actual RE be best? I just want to be sure that I'm covering all bases with regards to care and treatment.

Thought?

Well, I have to say that if he gave you Clomid for a cycle, why would he take it away and then monitor you?

If you have any reason to question...you should go for a second opinion. If the second opinion concurrs with him and you like him, stay. If there are some misgivings and the second opinion agrees with the misgivings, go somewhere else.

There is no shortage of good RE's in the NY area, so you will find someone else you like and trust.

I agree, if you have doubts seek a second opinion. It will only make you more informed. When someone has an illness, like cancer or heart problems for example, they wouldn't think twice about getting a second opinion. I don't this should be any different if you have any questions or doubts.

Thanks guys. Makes sense.

Gertyae, I decided to not do Clomid this cycle, not the doctor. The emotional side effects were really rough for me and I needed to take a cycle off from it.
