That's it...
The yanks are over for this year 
The only good I can see in it is if the mets go far, DH (MAJOR Mets fan) and I won't get a divorce since I will root for them over a non-NY team.

You also have an interleague relationship! We always joke that being interleague has a bigger strain on our marriage than being interfaith (I'm jewish, he's catholic)!

I can't imagine being married to a Mets fan...but I would imagine a Boston fan is much worst...

Well I can join the club of Yankee fans married to Mets fans here... (why do so many of our DH"s have such odd taste?   )
That said - I'm not one of these "I'M a NY FAN" types of people. I don't like the Mets, plain and simple. So I will not be rooting for the Mets. Whomever clinches the American League will be the team I root for..(I'm actually hoping at this point that Detroit goes all the way and kicks everyone's azzes  )

OMG I'm the same way!! I will be rooting for Detroit too!! It'll give me satisfaction since they bezt us and I can say, the best team beat us!

I always root for my team first and foremost..
But now that we are out..I will be rooting for the Mets to win
I think that the Mets have been building this power team and i think it is all coming to fruition...
So how can i deny that?
