The Carltun
has anyone ever had a party at the Carltun besides a wedding?? Any reviews on service & food??

I have never had a party at the Carltun but I went to a party there and the food and service were pretty good.

I went to a party for a communion there in the Gatsby room. It was very nice. Food was good and as far as I remember so was the service.

My wedding shower was there. It was really great - the food and service were amazing - the CAKE was out of this world!! I would highly recommend. Not sure what the room was called, the one with the flying monkey's on the ceiling, yellow, with fireplace. I was actually bummed we never looked there for our wedding - if I did it over, we would!! (We got married at the Inn at NHP).
ETA: Palm Court!! That's the room we were in. Really nice.

This! Same exact thing - bridal shower in the Palm Court. Food was great, cake was amazing (strawberry shortcake), and the service was outstanding. Highly recommend!

We went to a family party here recently. Food and drinks were awesome...service was good, but the drinks took forever to come.

I would not recommend that place! We had my sister's Bridal Shower there and it was HORRIBLE. From the service to the food... horrible. So much so that we actually sued them for our money back. This was back in 2002, though. Maybe things have changed... We are typically not the type to make a stink about anything, but this was 100% unacceptable.
