the chocolate cake recipe on the back of
Hershey's unsweetened cocoa is probably the best straight up chocolate cake i have EVER had.
I make it often, but I made it again this weekend and it is just heaven (I just finished eating it for breakfast I'm pregnant...don't judge )
I've tried other recipes from other sources and I just love this one.
if you've never tried it, DO.
if you usually do Duncan Hines...give this one a whirl. it's moist, light and have the perfect chocolate taste.
anyway...just wanted to put that out there.
it was GGGGOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is my standard chocolate cake recipe. So delicious, so foolproof, so chocolately. The frosting is amazing!

Re: the chocolate cake recipe on the back of
isn't it though!!!!
I've made the icing before (also good) but I am generally not an icing fan anyway so most times I don't even bother.
and no one even misses it. the cake is that moist and flavorful!
it's also the perfect foil for whipped cream and strawberries.

I love that cake - and I am not a baker AT ALL.
Try this next time.. brew a cup of STRONG coffee and steep some Ancho Chilies in it until the flavor is infused. Put the flavored coffee in a pot and re-boil. Use a cup of that brew instead of plain boiling water.
It's ridiculous.

I haven't made this in awhile, but it is delicious! Usually I just dust some powdered sugar on top and enjoy! I think I may have to pick up some Hershey's Cocoa this week!
