The Choice - Nicholas Sparks - Horrible Ending

Okay I really was into this book, especially the love story part of it (set back in 1996). But i was sooo disappointed with the ending. It was too farfetched to me that one day she woke up. I know it's fiction, but I think it would have been a better book if he did not have that happen in the end and rather had Travis make the decision that Gabby told him years ago she wanted made for her. To me it really ruined an amazing book for me.

I also don't get it because a lot of Sparks book end very sadly...so I didn't get why he went so overboard with trying to make this a happy ending.

Just my 2 cents. Wanted to hear other opinions on it.

OMG I agree...especially since my family just had to go through a terrible decision like that (well we had to carry out a loved one's wishes). A lot of families probably have and reading that book is what...supposed to make us regret our decision?? He is my favortie author but he really pi$$ed me off with that ending.
