The Crib...(updated w/ pics)
We finally put the crib together in our room today. We are having the baby in our room because we don't have an extra room for a nursery until we move out of my FIL's house. Holy cow, it is just so huge! I didn't realize it would take up this much space. I'm barely going to be able to get out of bed! I want to move out!!!!!!!

I know that living with our FIL is just a means to an end right now, so that when the time comes we'll really be able to have what we want for our family. After having a night with the crib in the room it's not as bad. We moved our bed over a bit so that I can get out of bed without smashing into it, and I do like the colors of the sheets and bumper and stuff. We don't have a whole bedding set since we didn't get it from our registry, but here are some pics of what we have. The crib is a Bellini that a friend of the family passed onto us since his daughter is 8 now and they won't be using it ever again. It's dark wood which isn't my style but it is very well made. I have to be happy with what we have!!

Okay, I'm trying to make it look all nice, so even though the stuffed animals will be out once the baby is in, I added them in to make it look pretty. Also I think we're going to go next week to get a plain crib skirt from BRU because I saw in the catalog that came this week that Koala Baby makes them, since we didn't get the whole bedding set.
Sorry to bore you all with my not-so-exciting crib pics. I wish I had a whole nursery to decorate!!

It looks really pretty. I like the lavendar and blue combination, it looks really nice against the dark wood.

it looks cute! We also had our daughter in our bedroom and i was bummed we didnt get to decorate a nursery either...but i just hung some baby things on the wall her crib was on to make it her own space! Your crib looks great!!! YOU ARE GETTING SO CLOSE MELISSA!!!!!
