the dreaded stomach virus
so i was lucky enough to get it on new yrs eve  and thank god my sil's and mil came over to watch the baby.....now dh just got it and im just scared to death that kaylie might get it ....anyone have it in their house but their baby didnt get it? i need hope tia

thank so much girls for well wishes.....anyone else have an experience, hopefully where the baby DIDNT get it but others did in the household?

I had it about 3 weeks ago and I am pg to make matters worse. Anyway, DS is 10 months, he did not get sick at all. Thankfully it was over a weekend so Dh was able to care for him entirely. I really feel your pain, it was horrible.

i had it and gianna didnt get it. my brother, sil, nephew and niece all also had it right after christmas and had been over my parents house with us too. i hope your little one escapes it!

No sorry I can't help you there - DD has had it since Tuesday (and is still throwing up on and off) and DH has it - so far I'm the one who has escaped it.
I hope you both feel better soon and that your DC doesn't get it - it is NOT fun.

oh boy.....how old is ur dd?
18 months. Unfortunately the stomach bug is VERY contagious but you can try to avoid passing it - by:
Washing everything (sheets, clothes etc) in HOT water with soap.
scrubbing down everything with a bleach based cleaner (clorox is what the ped recommended)
washing hands continuously esp after vomiting and going to the bathroom.
maybe wear gloves when you prepare food.
It is not (well depends on what strain you have) generally passed by breathing - but from saliva - so don't share drinks, etc.
Unfortunately that is all you can do and just hope that they don't get sick.

last jan DD and DH had it...DS was only 2 months he did NOT get it and i didnt either...so there is hope! i kept washing my hands alot and wouldnt let DD or DH NEAR the baby...i kept him in my room alot and away from the germs best i could.
i am PRAYING our house doesnt get hit with it but it sounds like everyone gets it during the winter

2 years ago we all got it and then last year it was only me.......DH and the kids didn't get it.
You never know - I am keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!
