The generosity of people...

I cannot believe how generous people are being to me and DH. My dad's cousin and an old friend who we haven't spoken to in YEARs both had twins about 2 years ago and both are so generously offering us so much. I can't thank them enough. What can I send them to show my appreciation?

I think babies tend to bring out the best in people. Maybe send them a cookie bouquet or an Edible Arrangement as a thank you?

i was amazed at the generosity of people as well - people we don't even know, or are not very close with, and the gifts they have given us, is a wonderful heartwarming thing to see

it's unfortunate that DH and i are in a position financially where we cannot give these people gifts in return but i always make sure to send a heartfelt thank you so that they know how much their thoughtfulness is appreciated.

wait til u see what happens when you have the baby---UPS was at my apt everyday for weeks

i try to send updated pictures and notes after the kids are born. I agree, babies bring out the best in most people.

I think the more personal the better. It's kind of odd to give a gift, for a gift IMHO. It's kind of like sending a thank you card for a thank you card. I'd send lots of pictures and include the stuff they've give you. and just make a fuss every time you see them.
