The Horse and Jockey in Smithtown...
...does anyone know what happened? The door had a big piece of wood covering it last night. I passed it while heading home from teaching and it looked like it closed down....
anyone know?

I know the family and they have recently opened a bar in NC :) which I am so excited about because my family relocated to that area as well.
I've been to the actual Horse and Jockey with them in Ireland. I'm in Florida so I'm not sure if its closed for good or not it's not one of the things we talk about it, but they closed Massapequa Nappers so I wouldn't be suprised.

Was this the same owners as Nappertandys? I heard they moved to NC, right near where I am moving.

Yup, it's in Raliegh www.nappertandys.com had directions on it. I forget what the former bar was called but its a pretty big location down by the colleges.

That is what I thought. I am moving to Raleigh. I will have to check it out.
